Competition Format

Bouts are held according to the official WSF SUDO Rules.
Matches consist of up to three rounds. Each round lasts 3 minutes.

  1. DOYUSH round – Standing combat (punches and kicks, throws, sweeps – no punches to the head).
  2. DOSHEK round – Kneeling combat (grappling).
  3. DOMIX round – Mixed round (standing + kneeling).
Athletes wear Oda uniforms: one competitor in a red jacket with white trousers, the other in a blue jacket with white trousers.

The handicap mode consists of three rounds:

  1. Technique Round:
The athlete is given only five SUDO hand techniques (in one place, without moving forward), which they must perform correctly (only hand techniques, without kicks). To help you, I’ll provide you with tips in this video: https://youtu.be/nLe-66KD3mY?si=LmElKA2fzKBLu7bh E.g.: Okh, Düz, Yan, Alt, Dirsek.
  2. Free Presentation (Forms):
The athlete demonstrates a freely chosen form with fluid, expressive movements.
  3. Symbolic Breaking Test – Strength of Will:
In this round, the athlete demonstrates their mental strength, concentration, and determination by breaking a light wooden board (e.g., 1 cm spruce) using an adapted hand technique.
The exercise is performed according to individual physical capabilities—standing, sitting, or from a wheelchair. Courage, focus, technique, and fighting spirit are evaluated, not brute strength.
This symbolic moment represents inner victory—over fear, doubt, and limitations.
